Tomorrow, October 28th, CD Covadonga plays against Real Valladolid in the Copa del Rey 2026/2027. For this match, the club commissioned 500 custom woven scarves, featuring the opponent and the date woven in. Today, on the eve of the game, we’re telling you all about the scarf and how the team received it.
What’s on the Covadonga scarf?
It is the official CD Covadonga scarf for the match, blue with white lettering. It features four woven texts: “CD COVADONGA”, “PARTICIPANTE COPA DEL REY 2026/2027”, “VS REAL VALLADOLID” and the date, “28/10/2026”. It also features the club crest, the Copa del Rey logo, and the sponsor’s name, clínica dental fonsecavega. It finishes with fringes.
Being a woven scarf, the text and colours are part of the fabric itself rather than being printed on top. With the opponent and the date included, the scarf becomes a commemorative match scarf: it’s perfect for that specific day and later serves as a keepsake of a particular round.
Six days from order to shipping
The match date was fixed and is woven into each of the 500 scarves, so there was no room for delay. From the moment the club formalised the order until we shipped them, 6 days passed. Six days for 500 woven scarves featuring the crest, competition logo, sponsor, and fringes. That was the turnaround for this specific order.
